Aberdeen Osteopathy and Massage Clinic has a team of expert practitioners second to none. We provide a gentle and effective hands-on approach to your health and wellbeing, based on the principle that the way your body moves influences how it functions. Osteopaths are highly competent healthcare professionals, recognised by the NHS as fully qualified to diagnose and treat independently.

We see people every day with a variety of conditions including neck or back pain, joint or muscular pain, sports injuries, recurring headaches and more. Many patients are pregnant mothers, unsettled children, or those with work strain, or pain and stiffness related to advancing years.

As you don’t need a referral from your doctor you will be treated quickly without the long waiting times that often occur with other treatment options.

What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine that treats the muscular skeletal system including muscles, ligaments, nerves, joints and problems related to its function.

It covers a range of areas as covered briefly below and in more detail in the treatments pages.

TREATMENTS

Dry Needling

At the AOC we have several practitioners who are trained to provide Dry Needling. This form of Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine dating back thousands of years.

Massage Therapy

Massage is one of the oldest methods of healing; its origins can be traced back nearly 4000 years. It is a powerful tool in maintaining good health and today massage is thought of as a holistic therapy that compliments medical treatment.

Active Isolated Stretching

Flexibility and proper stretching play a crucial role in enhancing performance and rehabilitation as well as an important role in overall wellness. One of the more common types is a static stretch (holding the stretch for 15 to 30 seconds).

I recently went to Iva for neck and back issues, after treatment on day 1 i already immediately felt amazing, i went back a week later where Iva continued to work on the problem area, 2 sessions and i feel absolutely amazing, Iva was nothing short of amazing, a lovely lady who knows her stuff and made me feel at ease.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I first visited Abdul a few years ago with numbness in my hand which I had for a long time.  He quickly diagnosed the problem started from my neck and after a few sessions I was pain free. This has been maintained by regular visits. I recently had severe pain in my upper leg which Abdul managed to pinpoint and treat immediately although I had suffered on and off for months.  I cannot recommend him highly enough and also the pre-treatment massages from his team.  Always professional and accommodating while taking a holistic approach to treatment.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have been using Abdul and his specialised massage therapists for ten years now. I have also had my daughter attend and we are always extremely pleased with the care, attention and treatment we are provided with. Abdul and his team will not simply just take your money and do weekly treatments if you are not improving he will provide referrals unlike some other practices in Aberdeen. You are massaged for every osteopath treatment and are not ushered out the door asap. Highly recommend
