A consultation at our Bridge of Don clinic if you are concerned about your vitamin B12 or vitamin D levels. We talk through your health and explain the options open to you.
What happens at the consultation
Every new client has a consultation before any treatment. We ask about your health, your medical history, any medicines you take and any recent blood test results, and talk through whether a vitamin B12 or vitamin D deficiency may be a concern for you.
Treatment options
If your consultation suggests you may have a vitamin B12 or vitamin D deficiency, the options we discuss with you may include an injection of vitamin B12 or vitamin D. These injections are prescription-only medicines. They are only given where they have been prescribed for you, and are administered by qualified professionals using UK-licensed products. Like all medicines, they can have side effects, which are explained to you before any treatment.
Other options may include vitamin supplements you can buy without a prescription, or seeing your GP.
